Viltrox PRO Series 56mm F1.2

I’ve been using this lens for portrait sessions and the bokeh at F1.2 is incredibly smooth, with zero chromatic aberration even wide open. The dual motor focuses silently and locks on eyes almost instantly, which is a game-changer for candid shots.

The autofocus on this 56mm is ridiculously fast and silent; I was able to track my toddler running around the park without any hunting. That f/1.2 aperture also lets me shoot indoors without a flash, which makes for much more natural-looking portraits.

Switched from a slower lens and the difference is night and day—the autofocus with that dual motor is snappy even in dim restaurants. Shot a friend’s birthday party indoors and every portrait has that creamy background separation I’ve been chasing.
