Canon RF 28-70mm F2.8 IS STM

I was shocked at how sharp this lens is wide open, even in low light at a concert last night. The 7.5 stops of stabilization made handheld shots at 1/15 second look tripod-stable.

The constant f/2.8 aperture held up beautifully in a dimly lit restaurant, and the 7.5 stops of stabilization meant I didn’t need to bump the ISO once. It’s genuinely light enough to carry around all day without feeling like I’m hauling a brick.

I was skeptical about the weight savings, but this lens balances perfectly on my R6 and the constant f/2.8 gives me beautiful subject separation without switching primes. The 7.5 stops of IS really let me shoot handheld in near-darkness.
