Viltrox AF 16mm F1.8 FE

The autofocus is whisper-quiet and locks on instantly, even in dim light. I've been using it for night cityscapes and the F1.8 aperture captures way more detail than I expected from a wide lens.

Finally, an ultra-wide that focuses silently and actually gets sharp results wide open. The 0.27m close focus distance lets me get dramatic foreground details without swapping lenses.

I was skeptical about a third-party wide angle, but the 0.27m close focus distance lets me get right up on subjects for some dramatic foreground detail. The STM motor is silent enough for video work, and f/1.8 gives creamy bokeh even on a 16mm—sharp corner to corner.
