تامرون 16-30mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2

The VXD motor is so quiet and fast I barely notice it locking onto subjects, and the updated optical design really cuts down on distortion at the wide end. Pairs perfectly with my full-frame body for landscape work.

The close focus distance is incredible for a wide-angle zoom—I can get within inches of my subject for dramatic perspective. Autofocus snaps into place quickly even in dim light, and the lens feels surprisingly compact for what it covers.

I was worried a wide-angle zoom this light would feel cheap, but the build is solid and the VXD motor snaps focus faster than I can think. The 7.5-inch close focus is perfect for getting dramatic foregrounds without swapping lenses. Every shot is tack sharp even wide open.
