Sigma 12mm F1.4 DC CONTEMPORARY

The f/1.4 aperture is perfect for astrophotography, and I love how light it feels for a wide-angle prime. The 9-blade diaphragm creates really smooth bokeh too.

On my APS-C body this lens is incredibly sharp wide open at f/1.4, and the stepping motor autofocus locks on quickly even in low light. I love the compact size for travel—it barely adds any weight to my bag.

That 9-blade diaphragm gives such smooth, natural bokeh for a wide-angle lens—way better than I expected from a compact prime. The f/1.4 aperture lets me shoot indoors without a flash, and the autofocus locks on quietly every time.
